Chainsmoker Cat (Japanese: ヤニねこ, Hepburn: Yani Neko, meaning “Tar Cat”) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by NyanNyanFactory. It has been serialized in Kodansha’s seinen manga magazine Weekly Young Magazine since February 20, 2023.

Setting

The series takes place in Nyagamihara, a fictional town based on Sagamihara, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. The world is set in modern-day Japan where humans and beastmen (specifically cat-people) coexist.
